Music can play an important role on your brain such as improving the health functions of your mental state. And it also can make a person happy, sad, energetic, lustful, depending on the type of genre of music the person is currently listening to.
Why does music play an important role in our lives?
From waking up to going to bed. Music plays an important role for all individual around the world no matter the race, age, religious values and so on, and it’s affect on us is pretty much unexplainable. Until now. Some of you may know that different type of music triggers different parts of your brain such as your auditory cortex, which is responsible for listening to sound and the analyzation of new sounds. You may not know what this means, but it means that the auditory cortex is the part in your brain, which determines if you will like a new song or not.
Your brain loves music
No matter if it’s rock, pop or hip-hop your thinking box prefers the same type of music you do. In another article I’ve read, a man named Yonetani said “It depends on your personal background,” Your personal background determines your taste in music. Which makes sense because all I do is listen to hip-hop and I’m assuming that is due to my personal background. Therefore, Yonetani explanation on why we listen to certain type of music despite our race, place of origin, is absolutely correct! However, not all music good for your brain, I will explain why. Well you see when a person listens to slow-paced and slow tempo music with negative lyrics, it could potentially cause a person to become sad and have negative thoughts such as suicide. You may not know this but a Hungarian musician who goes by the name Rezo Seress has been making music that make people kill themselves since the 1900’s according to sources (Rohit, 2015) According to a source, Rezo Seress his song Vége a világnak’ (The world is ending), also known as ‘Hungarian Suicide Song’. Caused many people living in the World War 1 era to kill themselves. With that being said, the song mixed with the damaged emotions of everyone who was going through the war at the time, was a deadly mixture, just like ammonia and bleach. No one thought that more damage could’ve possibly be done after the war was done, but I kid you not! there assumptions were incorrect and the way they would feel the additional impact and damage I could say, will be very unexpected. At this point many people are dying and people are baffled and wondering what are causing these unexpected deaths. Although, at first know one knew what was causing these deaths. The mystery was cracked. The whole time it was the song that I previously mentioned in my article. The song that goes by the name Vége a világnak’ (The world is ending) was causing the deaths of at least over 100 people.
According, to several reports over 100 people had died to the hands of this song
The original composer of the song Rezso Seress attempted to take his own life on multiple occasions, and he finally succeeded in taking his own life in 1968.
Why do musicians have better working brains than a non-music listener
